2018 NSW STATE TITLES – 8TH APRIL – RESULTS

10 STATE CHAMPIONS!        Congratulations to the 26 Budokan athletes who competed in 31 divisions at the NSW State Titles winning 20 medals: 10 Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze. Special mention to those who competed for the first time or at this level for the first time – taking on the challenge of competing is a major milestone and by taking this step, you learn to face all challenges and this pushes you to do better in everything you do - well done to Lynne McCredden who competed for the first time and to Jaeda Liao, Jessica Barbin, Nicholas Platonov, Junkai Wang, Peter Cheon and Artin Ebadi Mehr who competed for the first time at this level. Full results follow. As the results haven’t yet been published, please advise if any corrections are needed (and apologies if this is the case). Results were particularly impressive given that we had 5 athletes (and potentially 12 more divisions) at OJU, as well as Nathan, Cameron, Liam and Logan out with injuries. This could have given us 37 athletes competing in 49 divisions and many more medals.      We really stepped up with a great representation of competition volunteers and we are very grateful to the following Budokanis (please advise if we left out anyone):Franz Tandean (refereeing), Jo Edwards, Chang (Wesley) Woo, Suzie Tandean, Cathy Roach, Kelly McPherson, and Anna Yuldashev.  Photo: Rob Katz, Kerrye Katz, Lynne McCredden - State Champion (special needs)
