Club Pack-Up - 27 Feb 10

 (Main pack-up 6.30pm 4th March)

The preliminary work for the mat / club pack up on Saturday went extremely well. At the last minute Sean was able to get a large flat-bed truck and driver from work. This meant that we were able to transport all the crash mats, wood-backed mats, chairs, podium, carpet, spare kitchen cupboard, etc to Kennards storage in one load.

Unfortunately Council had not come back to us in time with a response to our proposal to buy a shipping container and locate it in the Showground so we used Kennards storage. I found out today that there is still potential that Council may allow this but obviously it's too late for this year.

Regarding the rest of the move-out, all that remains in the club will be moved into the workshop adjacent to the club on Thursday night. It's only when you see the dojo as a bare shell that you appreciate how good it looks when all the posters, flags, carpets, bookshelves, trophies, chairs, etc are in place.
 

Saturday's preparation for Thursday's main pack-up will ensure that the main pack-up goes smoothly. The following people attended Saturday's pre-move and we appreciate their time and effort to make it go so smoothly: Sean Brothers and Mal (his able driver who worked very hard himself), Don McDougall, Ante Jaksic, Jarrad Cooper, Patrick Waite and Rob K. Thanks so much guys. Training per normal Tuesday and Wednesday (U/10s) this week and Thursday 6.30 will be the pack up. Please be there.
