Sponsorship of Budokan - Why?
We are offering an opportunity for any business, local or otherwise, to be involved in, and show their support for the Budokan Judo Club, Inc.
Your contribution will allow the quality of services to be provided to the athletes to improve and to allow further financial assistance to those athletes representing at State, National, and International levels.
Sponsorship allows a sense of pride by the athletes that the community values their sport and acknowledges the contribution of the club to the community. It allows the contributor to form an affiliation in the development of a community-based non-profit club.
The Judo club has members from 5 years to almost 60 years of age. The competitive but family-based environment in the club allows all club members the opportunity to create and reach goals which add to their self-discipline and self-image; to make new friends and to have fun, to develop sportsmanship and leadership skills, whilst building a camaraderie with their fellow club members and learning to play one of the least understood but most beautiful sports of all. The club provides international standard quality training and encourages participation in Judo activities in the community, whilst preserving the traditional spirit and intent of Judo.
Ideally, we are looking for sponsors who will support the club on an annual basis, but will gladly accept one-off support for special equipment or projects if more suitable to the organisation. To acknowledge the contribution to and involvement in the club, we can offer sponsors a range of services. We would also consider other suggestions from potential sponsors on how the club could best raise the profile of the sponsor and acknowledge its contribution.
- Corporate logo on members’ Judo Bags
- Business name or corporate logo on a new run of our club T-Shirts
- Corporate logo on Judo uniforms (whilst possible is strictly controlled by IJF rules and needs JFA approval so as not to conflict with other sponsors)
- Corporate logo on footer of all official Budokan correspondence
- Corporate banner and link on Budokan webpage
- Banner displayed in the club
- Banner displayed when conducting demonstrations
- Banner displayed at selected competitions (may need approval of JFA NSW or organising body)
- A framed certificate and letter of recognition as a Sponsor
- Recognition of sponsorship on the Budokan Website with description of the organisation and links to the sponsoring organisation’s internet site.
- Attendance and recognition at the Club-hosted U/10s League State competition and awarding of trophies
- Attendance and recognition at the Club’s annual awards night and awarding of trophies
- Conducting demonstrations for the sponsor at sponsor functions.
We have a broad long-term plan which requires upgrading of the facilities and equipment and allows greater support of our athletes and coaches.

- Pedestal Scales
- Conversion of a large permanent bench to a removable and modularised bench
- Competition Scoreboard
- 3 Drawer Filing Cabinet
- Video Camera
- Gymnastic Rolls/foam wedges
- Throwing Dummy
- Dumbbells and associated weights
- Additional Umbrella - type gas heater
- Replacement of timber window shutters with hinged, painted, purpose built shutters
- Plumbing in kitchen - taps, filtration system, hot water
- Additional spectator seating
- Additional Mizuno mats, sub-floor, and extending existing frame
- Building of toilets adjacent to hall
- Payment of sponsorship to athletes selected for State and National Teams
- Payment of expenses for coaches
- Subsidy of rent to Showground
