JUDO NSW AND BUDOKAN COVID-RELATED POLICY

Please note that Judo NSW has implemented a policy which requires all people aged 16 years and over attending all Judo NSW events to be double vaccinated. Therefore confirming proof of double vaccination is now a condition of entry/participation to any Judo NSW run event for people 16 years and above whether participating as a competitor, coach, official, volunteer, or spectator. Further extension of this condition includes representation in NSW teams, training, and education programs run in person by Judo NSW. Judo NSW has left the decision of vaccination status with individual clubs regarding training at their clubs.  Budokan Judo Club’s position is that everyone is able to come back to training. Obviously we prefer double vaccination for all those who are eligible but NSW Health has opened up gym and martial arts activities to the general population and this is the position that the club is taking. Our previous COVID safety plan with minor amendments with respect to vaccinations still applies whereby, condition of entry requires:

  • QR Code scanning as the preferred option with the less desirable option being manual completion of Attendance Register
  • Temperature testing (37.5 Deg C max)
  • hand sanitising for all
  • wearing of mask for spectators whilst indoors
  • maximum 20 spectators (excluding the change-over between Junior and Senior classes)
  • maximum participants on the mat controlled by the Head Coach of the class, but no health-related limits
  • wiping down the mats and furniture at the conclusion of classes
  • mindful of social distancing on and off the mat where possible

Please make sure you have NO flu-like symptoms if intending to come to the club. If in doubt, please don’t come!
