- Welcome to all new members. We hope that you are enjoying your Judo experience at Budokan.
We are really looking forward to our Christmas party this Saturday 25th November at the Ryde Aquatic Centre. Our members and families will have exclusive use of the pool, slides, and giant inflatables. Food and drink being provided 6.00 – 9.00pm. Thanks to everyone who RSVP’ed. Our booking is for 200 people which is a bit less than last year but still enough for a ton of fun.
- Please remember that you will not be allowed entry into the pool before 6.00pm or after 6.30pm and that if you leave, there is no re-entry. This is the Aquatic Centre’s rule for group bookings. Also, please do not bring any alcohol. The club will provide food and water.
Normal Saturday training for competition Juniors will not be held this week due to the Christmas Party. Saturday training for competition Seniors will be discussed at training on Thursday night 23Nov23.
- Thanks to everyone who participated in the Budokan Annual General Meeting on the 6th November and congratulations to our newly elected club Committee. Details in the Newsletter.
- Our next big event is the end of year Budokan Annual Awards Night to be held at the club on Thursday 7th December. There will be no club training sessions on this night. We will be catering this event with the famous wood-fired pizzas from “Pizza Alfresco” owned by club coach Carlo. This event is a celebration of your participation in the greatest sport in the world and the achievements of your club and its members. We have some great awards to present so please attend with parents, grand-parents, brothers and sisters.
This newsletter also covers the achievements of a number of our athletes who have competed successfully in both international and domestic competitions and we are very proud of these athletes.
